In our time together, Téa has proven herself to be adept at working through complex and, at times, seemingly ambiguous problems. The same intellectual curiosity that makes her highly effective when it comes to theory translates perfectly into practice. She experiments exhaustively, never settling, in a constant search for the most robust process and solution possible. In doing so, she demonstrates an ability to work and think both linearly and laterally. What’s more, she moves between modes effortlessly and effectively, choosing the mind-set and methodology that best suits her aims and her situation. This, combined with her sound design sense, intense curiosity, and a willingness to experiment, makes her highly adaptable and allows her to produce high-quality work with an uncommon depth and range.

About
Classically trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA), Téa’s creative flexibility was recognized with digital paintings on billboards, and public art installations exhibited in galleries all before she graduated high school. Since then, her animations have been featured in international film festivals, wearable sculpture walked down the runway, videos broadcasted on PBS, and print materials delivered in thousands of mailboxes.
She has worked in both individual and team settings with personal clients and within agencies designing everything from infographics and pitch decks, to more expressive animations and illustrations. Her background in the traditional arts, combined with her design education and affinity for learning to understand makes her a flexible, multidisciplinary designer.
Téa actively leads a team of designers and developers and has participated in accelerators and fellowships that allow her to approach design with a business perspective.
In 2018 she acquired the rights to iScribble, an online collaborative platform with over 600,000 registered users that enabled artists from all around the world to work together on the same canvas. As a community member of iScribble since 2010, the platform was her creative home. Since then, she’s recruited a technical cofounder, revived the iScribble community, preserved over 100,000+ digital artworks from as early as 2006, and rebranded iScribble into HelloPaint, the successor of iScribble and malmal
Téa has turned a passion project into a startup that’s raised over $50,000 in non-dilutive funds, recruited staff, secured partnerships and support, and managed the administration of the company itself. She actively leads a remote team of designers and developers and has participated in accelerators and fellowships that allow her to approach design with a business perspective. As HelloPaint’s creative director she has evolved iScribble’s brand into a new visual identity and marketed a successful crowdfunding campaign sharing the story and mission behind HelloPaint’s brand and company.
HelloPaint.io is currently in closed beta; you can see some of the incredible artworks that have been created on HelloPaint here.
In addition to her job as a designer and the Creative Director of HelloPaint, she enjoys journaling & scrapbooking, photography, and hiking.
